Anime is japanese animation. Throughout the world, anime shows like Evangelion, Oh My Goddess, Digimon, Pokemon, Sentimental Graffiti, are popular. Some anime shows have hentai (it's nudity if you don't know), some has romance, and others have comedy. Each anime has it's own plot. In anime, things that could never happen, could happen, that is if it's animated. In making the shows, they sometimes make cels. Cels are like pieces of artwork used to make a scene in the show. Some people don't like anime because it's not their style. but to me and others, it's what I really enjoy and love. There are three types of anime types:
-dubbed
Dubbed is when the original voices and language are changed to a language other people understand. By that, they get other voice actors and sometimes they change the name. Like in Digimon for example, the young boy Davis is suppose to be Daisuke. Some people don't like their english dubbed name because it sounds stupid but other companies keep their japanese names. Besides that, it's the voices that really count.
Subtitled is when the original voice actors' voice is the same thing but their dialogue is in english or whatever the language is. Like for example, they have a subtitled for Tenchi Muyo. They keep the original voices and put translation on the bottom of the screen or sometimes top (that's rare). People are usually comfortable with this kind of type. Fansubbed is different. I don't know much about it because it's confusing to me but I have two opinions of what this is. Number one is that the voices are by other people (not the original ones). Number two is that people keep the original voices and translate it. When I mean 'the people translate it' it means this series probably hasn't come out but people that know japanese translate this before the show ever comes out. There might be errors in translation but at least you get something. |
